When I found out that my parents were coming to town, I was very happy. I have not seen them for a couple of months. My mother asked me if it would be a problem for her to bring her cat. Having the chance to proceed to college was something I had to fervently hope for. I wasn’t sure I would be allowed to even think of a course as our family’s finances were a bit unstable for a few years. Thankfully though, my parents were able to get our business going strong again and I was assured I’d be able to go to college. This then brought on the problem of what exact course to take when I’m not yet sure of what I wanted to be. I knew getting a degree was something important in our family, and that I had to do my best to decide on one. My options when it comes to schools were to go to an audio engineering school Victoria, or go to a college that offered accountancy in Victoria. I knew that becoming an accountant would definitely help my chances of landing a job, but it definitely was not my first choice. I wanted to work with sounds and music and the job of putting together songs that the public would love. But, it definitely is one course that my family is still hesitant and unsure about. So, before I go ahead and enroll into one of the engineering schools I have to think about my decision over and over. It’s to be entirely sure that I definitely want to pursue the career of an audio engineer and if I can make a living out of that career. I have a year or so before I have to make a final decision and I hope to make the right one.

My professor is really good at evaluating people. She’s really friend and approachable that’s why people can really get close to her that easily. The first time I met her, I already felt close with her. She’s not one of those scary people you’d stay away from. One time, I was consulting my paper with her and then she suddenly asked me if I would want to go to a Los Angeles film school in the future. I was really planning to go but I was shocked that she asked me about that. I told her that I do and asked her what made her say that. She then told me that she’s been noticing my papers for the papers we write are almost always about film and anything related to it. Even the short clip I made which our teacher asked us to prepare was a short silent film showing my interest in good and unique films. She then told me that it was a great idea because I had great potential. She told me that she’s really pleased with my works and that I look like someone who really pursues her aspirations in life. She also told me that if I ever needed help like recommendations and such, she’ll be willing to give me. I was really touched and I’m glad that I chose her to be my favorite teacher because she lives up the expectation of a real teacher who also cares for her students even outside the classroom.

I started homeschooling my son last year when he started first grade. Now, as the year is wrapping up, I’m trying to determine what we’ll use for our second grade curriculum. My husband just found out he’ll be travelling a lot this year, and the beauty of home school, means that we can accompany him quite often. I think we’re going to use a web based curriculum for 2nd grade. There will be no lost or forgotten books and no space required for all the supplies. Most of it will be right on the laptop.
